Plymouth Naval Memorial
The memorial was designed by Sir Robert Lorimer and is situated on The Hoe which looks directly towards Plymouth Sound. There are 23,204 identified casualties listed of which 7,231 were sailors in World War One. The memorial was unveiled by HRH Prince George on 29th July 1924

Posted to HMS Queen Mary on 14th May 1916, so he had only been aboard two weeks before his death. 1901 census: 57 Elaine Street, Toxteth Park, Liverpool
